Triethyl orthoacetate is a colorless transparent liquid with a volatile ether odor, B.P. 142℃, n20D 1.3970, relative density 0.8850, insoluble in water, can be miscible with ethanol, ether, toluene, ethyl acetate, carbon tetrachloride and other organic solvents.It is used for the preparation of trans-trisubstituted alkenes and chiral propylene and other alkenes, as well as raw materials for dyestuff and pharmaceutical industry.
- Manufacturing Process
